| 07 AXIS HONDA SOLID DAY AT APPIN AND ON TRACK FOR BARLEIGH RANCH |
|
Team 07 Axis Honda Motorsports recorded a solid day out overall at round 2 of the Rockstar Motocross Nationals with under 19 rider Dylan Peterson finishing on the podium with  3rd overall going ( 6-7-7-2) for the day and Pro Lites riders Cody Mackie 4th ( 11-4-11-2) and Kieran Hall a credible 9th ( 9-3-9-12). Peterson, who has been very vocal in voicing his dislike of the 4 race sprint format saying “ this ain’t motocross” finally got off the gate in races 3 and 4 after struggling with his starts in round 1. It proved to be the turning point for Peterson for the series.
“ Even though I moved forward in the championship to 4th place with my 3rd overall it has brought me mixed emotions. It’s always good to be on the podium but 3rd is simply not good enough for me or the team. I like Barleigh Ranch so i bring on next weekend” said Peterson. Cody Mackie had a real up and down day but still managed to end up 4th overall and currently sits 5th in the championship. Mackie showed some very impressive speed and strong riding during the day mixing it up at the front of the field in all races. Mackie says” I finally got some decent starts and i feel i was a little unfortunate to not finish on the podium with a mechanical in race 3. Apart from that i am looking forward to this weekend”.
Kieran Hall was a highlight for the team with his blistering starts and he continues to improve and impress with each outing repaying the faith the 07 Axis crew showed him. |
