Axis Motorsports' Rodney Taplin finished in second place on the podium at Round 6 of the premier S2 Australian Supermoto Championship at Calder Thunderdome, Victoria on the 24th November, 2007 to give him outright second position in the S2 Australian Championship.

2007 has been a tremendous year for the Team at Axis Motorsports with Rodney Taplin finishing in outright second position in the premier S2 class and winning his first AMA supermoto lites race in the U.S while riding as a guest with Troy Lee Designs Honda race team. Taplin has been abley supported all year by fellow Axis Motorsports rider Jason Kain who finished the Championship in 10th position.

Rodney Taplin onboard the AMS Honda CRF 450 would be again duelling with KTM’s Angus Reekie as the two riders were the standouts in the class having fought out many moto’s during the championship. Taplin had to be content with a 2 – 2 result behind Reekie in the final championship outing and now turns his attentions to winning the championship in 2008. The 2008 season will start in February with a short off season allowing Taplin and the AMS Team to finish the job and bring home the coverted S2 Championship.
